DREAMM - Develop and Realise Empowering Actions for Mentoring Migrants
DREAMM is an Erasmus+ project that aims to support the social and professional inclusion of migrants and refugees through the development of a reflexive mentoring approach. As migration continues to shape European societies, many newcomers struggle with integration due to cultural, institutional, and linguistic barriers.
Project duration: Start: 2021 – End: 2023
- Funded by: Erasmus+ KA204 – Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education

The project brings together partners from various EU countries with complementary expertise in intercultural mentoring, adult education, and social inclusion, to co-create and implement mentoring strategies that are flexible, context-aware, and empowering. Through DREAMM, mentors are equipped to become facilitators of learning and participation in host communities, while migrants are supported in navigating their new environments with confidence and autonomy.

Project Activities
DREAMM seeks to promote inclusive mentoring practices that:
Facilitate the integration of migrants and refugees in different European localities.
Develop and test a modular, competence-based mentoring curriculum.
Equip mentors with intercultural competences and reflective tools to address the complex realities of mentoring across cultures.
Establish a European model of reflexive mentoring, applicable in both urban and rural contexts.
Foster cooperation between NGOs, adult education providers, municipalities, and migrant-led initiatives.
The project emphasizes the importance of flexibility and contextual relevance—recognizing that successful mentoring depends on adapting to the needs of both mentors and mentees, and the communities they live in.
