T4SD – Time4Sustainable Development
The T4SD (Time4Sustainable Development) project explored how Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in companies can be combined with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to create meaningful Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for employees. The project developed a new learning model that enables employees to contribute to social, cultural, and environmental projects during their working hours, while acquiring and validating relevant competences. This approach benefits both organisations and society by aligning personal growth, social impact, and sustainability.
Project Duration: 01.11.2019 – 31.12.2021
Funding Programme: Erasmus+ KA204 – Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education
Total Budget:
€300.000

Coordinated by Apricot Training Management Ltd. (UK) and implemented by an international consortium of adult education organisations, T4SD demonstrates how companies can “do well by doing good,” while fostering employee development through blended, competence-oriented learning.

Project Activities
T4SD set out to:
Create an innovative CPD framework that embeds CSR actions aligned with the SDGs into professional learning.
Offer a blended learning programme that enhances employees’ competences through real-world engagement with societal challenges.
Equip adult education professionals with tools to support this model in diverse contexts.
Support NGO staff and volunteers by offering capacity-building opportunities within the project’s framework.
The guiding principle of T4SD: employees dedicate part of their professional development time to co-design and implement local social or environmental projects, in cooperation with NGOs or civil society initiatives—thus supporting the SDGs in action.
